Lewis Kornfield (97) died Friday 8-16-13 - he was president of Radio Shack in 1977 the year of the Plug and Play computers -the TRS-80 Model 1, Apple 2 , and the Commodore Pet 2001The Radio Shack TRS 80 Model 1 computer was the computer many folks used to learn about computing in the late 70's and early 80's. It was low cost and worked right out of the box.

Radio Shack was important player for a few years in the microcomputer revolution and Lewis Kornfield made a good choice to produce the TRS - 80 Model 1 in 1977.
